Muharram: Where Mercy Follows Every Trial
Muharram marks the start of the Islamic year. It is one of the four sacred months Allah set apart, a time to take a breath, to give thanks, and to draw nearer to Him through the good we choose to do.
Somewhere this morning, a mother is giving her child the only water she has, knowing it could be what makes him sick. For hundreds of millions of people, this is not a disaster. It is simply daily life. Close by, a child grows up with no one to open the Qur'an with him. An entire community lines up to pray with nothing over their heads but the sky.
But within every trial, a mercy is waiting to be sent.
